how to make an owl (fukuro)

This is how to make an owl , one of the best known creatures of the forest. It is made with square paper.
1.Put your paper coloured side down and fold the bottom point up to the top. Then fold the bottom edge to sit on the right hand edge, make a crease and open out.
2.Fold the right hand point over to the end of the crease made in the previous step, then fold the left hand corner over to exactly the same point on the right hand side.
3.Fold down the upper flap making a horizontal crease between the two side points. Now turn the model over and fold the remaining flap forward before turning over the tip 1/4 of the way down.At this point draw on eyes.
4.Turn the model over again and fold in the bottom corners at a slight angle to meet near the middle. Then open out the bottom corners again ,reverse the creases and fold inside.
5.Gently push down the top of the model while squeezing the sides to open the model up and give it form.
this model was taken from wild and wonderful origami by Mari Ono & Roshin Ono.
